Our Countryside Home
Nestled on a charming 300-acre arable farm in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside, Church Farm Lodge offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by stunning rural views. Before opening our doors as a lodge in 2003, the farm had a very different story to tell — one deeply rooted in traditional farming life.
Our Farming Heritage
The farm’s history dates back to the 1940s when Mr. Dennis-Jones took over the land. Now in its fourth generation, the farm was once home to a variety of animals, including chickens, pigs, geese, and cows. Alongside caring for the animals, the family cultivated wheat, rape, barley, and maize — crops that were used to feed the livestock and sold on to local buyers.

Evolving Through the Years
As the decades passed, the focus of the farm shifted. We transitioned to dairy farming and managed over 7,000 chickens for eggs, while continuing to grow crops. But by 2003, we saw an opportunity to diversify — and so Church Farm Lodge was born. While we still maintain the arable side of the farm, hospitality became our new adventure.
Looking Ahead
What began with just 14 rooms has grown into 23 individually styled rooms and apartments, each designed to offer a warm and welcoming stay. We’re proud of our journey and excited for what the future holds as we continue to evolve while staying true to our countryside roots.
